Yes, Spike is amazing. I had a huge crush on him in high school. And it totally started around season 5ish. When Dru was around, they were annoying. But as soon as she was gone, his character got more interesting.
Tara was always kind of boring (I always missed Oz). But stick with it. That's all I will say on that matter.
Your V-Day plans sound great. I am in denial that V-Day is even happening, and have been buying Easter candy instead.
