No, I'm not dead
I just haven't been online much. (Life outside the internet? Yes, it's a strange concept.)
Christmas was good. On Christmas Eve we all went out for Japanese, and I went to midnight Mass at a cute little church near my Mom's house. My siblings I split Christmas Day between my parents' houses, which isn't ideal, but I'm pretty much adjusted to now. It does mean we get two Christmas trees and open gifts twice, so that's fun!
d4ni came over on Boxing Day, and we watched "The Next Doctor." We had dinner at my uncle's house, and I played Rock Band with my 11 and 12 year old cousins. And we rounded out the Christmas season with another party with my dad's extended family. More food, more Christmas cookies, and I got an 8GB flash drive in the family gift exchange. :D
I'm really enjoying my break. It feels very good to have no responsibilities to worry about, even if I know it's only temporary. I can sleep in as long as I want or watch pointless movies on cable without any guilt. I had library books waiting for me when I got here, so there's plenty to read. It's fantastic. I think I'm driving home on Saturday, then it's back to work on Monday. I don't really have New Year plans yet. I'm invited to a party, but I think I might rather hang at home.
And just for fun, I've changed my layout. My awesome new Bones header was a Christmas present from
abarero. You should all go check out her graphics at
ushitora_icons.
I hope everyone had a happy Christmas, Hannukah, Solstice, Yule, Kwanzaa or whatever holiday you celebrate! :D
