We had one in sixth grade, but I did embarrassingly badly -- I didn't even make the finals in my own classroom. This was pre-Hollaback Girl, so I had no idea what to double and what not to in spelling 'bananas' and 'coffee.' I had always aced spelling tests, but those words had never been on the tests!
