I thought cupcakes were a big thing like 8 years ago, so I was confused about why you were linking that article until I actually READ the thing and got the point. :P Seattle had a lot of specialty cupcake stores -- the trend was on its way out when I moved a year ago. Apprently DC has a few stores, but I haven't been to them yet.
