Aw, thanks! The ending really was all about characters; not much even happens in the second half besides people talking. It's all about them wrapping up their journeys, which makes me want to rewatch and see them from the start too. I'm hoping they'll do a box set of the whole series so I can get it all at once.
I actually wanted to mention Chief, but I felt like I was already writing too much! I was really glad that he found out about Cally's death. His discovery that he was a cylon pretty much tore their marriage apart, but he did love her, whatever their problems. And I've always thought Tory was sort of a, well, cold-hearted bitch, so I'm glad she didn't get away with killing Cally. The disclosure about Tory, coming right after another betrayal by Boomer, I'm really not surprised that he wants to be alone. It's not a happy ending, but at least it's his choice about what he wants for his future.
Also, do you think Adama will stay a hermit forever? No, I don't! I like that he's fulfilling Laura's dream, but it's awful that he has no one to share it with. Both the Adama men have lost so much, and they both end up alone. :( I like the idea that they could meet again in the future. Lee's let go of his old bitterness about his father's absence and expectations, so I think they could actually enjoy each other's company, especially once they're had that time to mourn.
