Geek time!

Today's xkcd is about Mathnet! You know, the crime segment in Square One? The awesomest math show ever to hit PBS?

(Shut up, [livejournal.com profile] d4ni, PBS is cool, and I totally did not have a lame childhood.)

I was a big 3-2-1 Contact fan myself.

Hey, is xkcd suitable for teens? I'm putting links to webcomics on the teen summer reading page and I didn't figure I could justify spending work time reading the entire archive to make sure there aren't any x-rated stick figures or something. :)

I think it's probably about a PG-13 overall. I haven't read the entire archives either, but I don't recall and x-rated stick figures.

I watched mathnet with my kids all the time. "We're Mathematicians ma'am."

Yay! Most people I talk to don't remember the show at all, but I thought it was awesome. When I was younger, I definitely had the potential to grow up to be a math geek.
