Yay for you finally getting your hands on The Last Olympian! Rick Riordan has a blog on which he's explained that he is doing a later Camp Halfblood series with some of the characters we know making appearances. Ooh, and now if you are bored you can go back and find my epic post rambling on about it!
I loved the friendship stuff (not just the boy stuff) in the movie, too. "Hogwarts is beautiful," was hilariously bad. I still say Rupert has grown too broad-shouldered for the little castle windows.
The other books sound interesting, too --- I'm going to meet you in less than 24 hours!!!!
