alexiscartwheelYou know, it's getting really hard to remember that there was once a time wasn't enthused at all about Dollhouse. Why is it getting so damn good right before the series ends?
HOLY SHIT GUYS! BOYD?!?! CURSE YOU JOSS AND YOUR EVIL CLIFFHANGER OF DOOM!
Seriously, what does this mean now? What does he want from Caroline? He must need her for something, otherwise he could have killed her knowledge of him by, you know, actually killing her.
He is apparently super-twisted though, spending all that time taking care of Echo when he is really (presumably) the big Rossum bad guy. And the whole thing with Doctor Saunders... did he just set out to manipulate her too? Is that how she ends up all guilt-ridden and crazy seeming in Epitaph One? I just re-watched Epitaph One as a refresher, since the show's obviously careening toward that future now. I didn't realize it last night, but that seen with Boyd and Claire when he's packing up to go on the run? It's from Epitaph One!
You can also start to see Topher's downward spiral. First he gains a conscience and begins worrying about the potential destructive consequences of his brilliant ideas earlier this season. Then last night we see him falling for Bennett, actually connecting with another person that isn't just Sierra programmed to be his BFF... and she's murdered right in front of him. Yikes. And I liked Bennett's character. I was looking forward to seeing how she would interact with Echo/Caroline after piecing Caroline's personality back together.
Olivia Williams is fantastic as usual, and I always enjoy the relationship between Adelle and Topher. Sadly there was not much of Victor and Sierra this week, so here's hoping for more next time!
