(no subject)

Oh, hey guys! I apparently forgot that LJ let's me do crazy stuff like make posts. Lately I've just been using it for reading copious amounts of SGA fic. Specifically Sheppard/McKay fic.

Yes, that's right. Stargate Atlantis, the show that made me ship a slash pairing.

Now, it's not that I ever was vehemently opposed to slash, but I've always tended towards canon-shipping, and most fandoms don't have many canon slash pairing. (Sadly, Remus/Sirius was never canon. Though it should have been!) But Sheppard/McKay is practically canon, so... woooo!

It's all bookwench31 and jumperkid's fault. I couldn't hang out with them without hearing about this or that awesome fic, then one night we ended up watching a fantastic TV movie starring Joe Flanigan, which was naturally followed with selected episodes of SGA. Also, bookwench31 has tons of SGA fic in her delicious account.

Anyway... I do do other things with my life. I have a job for six more months, so that's good. I'm still looking for other things, which sucks. For once, I don't have to move over the summer, which is a huge relief. Also, kind of unbelievable: I've been living here for 8 months and am not annoyed by my roommates. What?! I've been spending plenty of time with my friends, and I seem to now have the house where bbqs happen. And, imagine my shock, a librarian dude has asked me out.
