I always feel weird for liking the Twilight series, because I can't actually explain why I seem to like it so much. Most of it is everything you described; the lulz, the cracky-ness of it, etc. I guess I feel that the storyline was actually a great idea, SMeyer just didn't know what the hell to do with it all. So I'm kind of split on how I feel. I like it, but I also like to make fun of it. It's a very schitzo kind of relationship. lol
As far as Jacob is concerned, I couldn't stand the boy. I have never been so angry at a character in a book before. People talk about how stalkerish Edward is...Um, hello! Jacob was like the abusivie boyfriend that didn't know "we're over" doesn't mean "keep trying to pester me into dating you, it's sooooooooo working!". Ugh! And yes, the triangle BS was annoying as hell. I fully expected Failcob Jacob to put on some eyeliner and go completely Emo on us at some point. His imprinting makes me feel squicky, but at least it stopped the damn whining over Bella! omg, I could have hugged someone at that point. lol
Most interesting characters in all 4 books: Kate and Garrett. God, I'd pay vast amounts of money to read a book about those two. "I'll follow you anywhere, woman." I might have fallen in lust with Garrett at that line. *drools*
Agreed that Twilight was the best of the series. I'm really looking forward to the movie. But that's mainly because of Robert Pattinson and the other hot boys in the movie (besides, ya know, Failcob). lol
