On my first day in C-bus I...

... went to the library. Moving meant I had no books checked out from any library anywhere, and that could not be allowed to continue.

I put Breaking Dawn on reserve a couple weeks ago, but right now I'm still number four hundred something on the waiting list. I doubt it'll come in anytime in the next two weeks, so I'll probably have to put it on hold again once I get a library card in Virginia. Boo! (I can't just buy the book because I'm anal about series books matching, and I have Twilight in paperback. Paperbacks are better anyway because they're not so heavy.)

I feel really awful for my brother today. Last night someone stole his laptop, as well as his roommate's TV. He'd only had the computer for a few months, and unfortunately he doesn't have renter's insurance. Poor guy. He already had other things to worry about and didn't need this on top of it. :(

And moving away from that down note... welcome to all my new friends! :D Maybe tomorrow I'll try to do a proper introductory type post.

ETA: There may also be a super-amazing travel diary/I-70 picspam coming this week. Because I am a super-safe driver that doesn't take pictures on the interstate. Nope. (It was 670 miles. I GOT BORED!)

OMG Breaking Dawn was fabulous, I just finished it a couple hours ago. Tell the C-bus library hi for me, I miss it terribly.

Grrr. I am jealous. I did move up 40 places on the waiting list since last night. However, that still leaves me at 416...

One of my reserves came in at Antioch today. Go figure.

And yeah, dude can't catch a break. Mom told him to file a police report, but I don't know that they have a huge success rate finding stuff that's been nicked on campus.

I totally agree with you on the series matching thing... my best friend has been trying to pressure me into buying Breaking Dawn, but I have the first 2 in paperback... so I'm just going to have to borrow it from her when I get home.

And the library thing- I'm 2 and a half days from leaving Ottawa, and have a bunch of stuff out still... and will be in the Winnipeg library the day after I get back (only for a week, but still). I don't know what I'm going to do back in Montreal. The libraries there just aren't quite up to snuff.

The Montreal libraries are hopeless! They might be better for people who can read French, but that obviously isn't me.

I don't really know anything about the Fairfax County library system, but I'm hoping since it's a pretty expensive suburb, they'll have good libraries.
