You know, in civilized places it snows during the winter.

Yes, pointless post is pointless. I'm just irritated cause it's been raining all frakking day. Fail.

It's been rainy here, too! And not at all Christmasy! I miss the bite in the air, if not the actual white stuff, you know?
And I could swear more houses were done up for Halloween than are now for the holidays.

*grumps*

I actually do like the snow itself. I figure if it's going to be really cold, we could at least get the reward of something pretty to look at. Walking around Montreal in the snow at night was gorgeous... it was so sparkly!

As for Christmas decorations, I should really take a picture of the house on the corner of my street. I think they bought out all the giant inflatable decorations at Wal-Mart. They've got nutcrackers and Santas and one of those big snow globes. And lights, of course.

Oh, I love snow, too. I was just admitting that the whole month of December back home isn't necessarily draped in it.

I like lights a lot better than the inflatables. They're sparkly, traditional, and less commercial.

Me too. Lights are so pretty. The inflatable stuff is a bit over the top usually. We don't have any lights or holiday decorations, inside or outside, which had me feeling a bit holiday deprived, so I bought some colored lights to hang in my room.

Yeah. It's been failing raining here in Boston for the last two days, too. Boston. In December. This just isn't right.

What an appropriate icon!

Unfortunately, I think rainy winters are pretty standard here. Cold and wet is just not good.

It's wintry mixin' here! We had some snow earlier this week. Count on Kansas to be unpredictable at best!

I like snow too, though. It's so shiny.

Wintry mix is just meteorologist for "WTF is this?" We had some snow dust last weekend. That's it. Boooo.

Where are you, in Vancouver? Haha.

That's what Vancouver winter weather is like? And you want to go back there? :)

Haha, yes! The great thing about living in Vancouver is that even though we get more rain than snow in the winters, if you drive for an hour or less you can be on top of a mountain which is covered in tons of snow and ski or snowboard to your heart's content.
