After five days, I think it's finally time to admit that my iPod is gone forever. Excuse me while I go don mourning.

Okay, that's a little extreme, but I haven't seen my iPod since I went to North Carolina (I had a job interview, it went fine, won't hear anything for several weeks though) and it's a bummer. I called the hotel... no dice. So I guess I'll be buying a new one. I think Apple's due to update the iPod models soon, so I'll probably wait until that happens. I really liked my Nano, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the Touch. If anyone has one right now, what do you think of it?

I've been cooking up a storm this past week. On Saturday I made tiramisu to take to a nerdy board game night hosted by some friends, and it was a big hit. With the help of my trusty KitchenAid, I have honed my egg white beating skills! Sunday I made chicken tikka masala, rice, and some Trader Joe's naan (bf had never been to Trader Joe's... not sure if I managed to convince him on how he's been missing out). Monday night I made BBQ chicken sandwiches. Very tasty.

Fall semester started yesterday. For the first time in 20 years, this has very little effect on my life. It's refreshing! The clothes that the freshmen have been wearing, however, are absolutely terrifying. Hellooo 1993!

I have an ipod touch 3rd generation and I LOVE IT. I use it for music, watching videos and going on the internet. I have a wifi connection at home so when I'm lazy and don't feel like opening my laptop I just grab my ipod. And of course there are the thousands of apps for almost everything.

A new ipod touch 4th generation is supposed to be announced sometime this month. Most likely tomorrow.

Ooh... they do have the new 4th generations ones up on the website today and they look pretty nice! The bonus of being able to used the iPod Touch for internet as well as music seems like it's probably worth the extra cost.

You made your own tiramisu? Color me impressed. That sounds fantastic.

Beating the egg whites is the hardest part. The last time I tried, I thought the eggs made stiff peaks... but apparently not. But if you beat them too long, they get ruined. Once you master that bit, the rest is not very difficult. And the results are delicious!

Aw RIP iPod. I would be in mourning too. But it'll all be worth it if you get the job and can then afford to buy ten new ones! :D

Wow good for you with all the cooking. I tend to stick to the same recipes lately. And by recipes, I mean macaroni and cheese.

I really wish I had it for the long commute. I am saving some money since I'm living like a hobo and not paying rent, so I think I can splurge on it!

LOL. My boyfriend is used to eating spaghetti and marinara sauce all the time, because that's basically his entire cooking repertoire, so he's getting spoiled by my desire to experiment.

I have a Touch and it is the best thing EVAR. It was lost in the couch cushions at my house in California for about two weeks in August and I was completely freaking out over the idea of going back to college without it. I am almost ridiculously attached to that thing. Thankfully it was found and all is well. Being able to surf the net and check your email in addition to all the typical iPod functions is really handy, and the newest models have built-in speakers, so if you like you can listen to your music without earbuds.

Yay for cooking!

That's great that you found it! I think I could easily get addicted to having the internet with me everywhere. I mean, I know it's not literally everywhere, but when you spend a lot of time on a college campus, it may as well be.

I love my ipod touch and would really recommend it over the nano. (I inhereted a nano from my daughter, though I still have it I was thrilled to get my touch and prefer it big time.)

I like (liked...) my three year old nano, and before that I had I think a second generation iPod (the kind they call "classic" now, but I'm really hearing the siren call of the Touch...
